Nature Play Days
You are invited to discover how outdoor play can foster your child’s motor, social- emotional, language and literacy, and academic development while having fun!
Through risky play, sensory play, loose parts play and imaginative play you and your child will discover how to make learning fun while enjoying the benefits of being outside and in nature. Some materials you and your child may engage with include:
sticks
water and ice
rocks, pebbles, and stones
mud and dirt
pine needles, leaves, native plants, and flowers
large and small everyday items.

Nature Play Days provide opportunities for young children and their caregivers to connect with nature, engage their curiosity, and enjoy a day of playing and learning outside. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Nature Play Days are facilitated by experienced early childhood educators dedicated to increasing access to and awareness of the benefits of Nature Education. Activities are designed for children ages 1-9. Not all activities will be suited for every child.
Nature Play Days provide a variety of activities designed to create joyful learning opportunities in an outdoor setting. We are committed to increasing outdoor play in all weather. Nature Play Days will be held no matter the weather, so please dress appropriately.
